I’m seeing some great sketchbook options out there! Size A5 or around 8x5 inches is plenty big enough for art class. Portability is important, no need for 8x10+. Dotted grid or plain is preferred.
A professional photographer made a visit to the art room today! She took photos of this fantastic group, to be featured in an upcoming publication with the Bartow County Chamber of Commerce!😍
I use a call and response technique in the art room, to get the attention of my students. This year, when they hear my drumsticks or "All Aboard", they respond with drumming on the tables to a specific beat. If you would love to see them in action, take a peak at our Instagram page.
We also spent studio time learning about the Kinetic artwork of Heather Hansen. If you have sidewalk chalk at home, our artists can show you a bit of symmetry inspired by her fantastic drawings. Be sure to take a picture and tag us on Instagram with #wmse.art
Ricky’s winning wildcat design will be used on our spring spirit shirts! Orders are due by Friday, $9 cash only.
The following WMS artists made it into the Booth Western Art Museum Middle and High School Art Exhibition.
Students were honored at an opening reception on Thursday March 15th. We are so proud of our fantastic Wildcat artists!
