Every student will need a hard cover sketchbook. This book, and a pencil, is all that students are required to bring to school for art class. (All other supplies are available for them within the art room) An A5 size, roughly 8x6 inches, is large enough for our needs and will easily slip into their laptop bag. If your child prefers a larger 8x10 sketchbook, that is perfectly fine. Dot grid books are enjoyed by many of the students, while others prefer clean plain paper options. I'll include two of my favorite options available on Amazon if you would like to shop online. Both are great. One is priced higher because it has much thicker pages which are more suitable for mixed media. If your kiddo likes to paint, that would be a better bet. If your child is more interested in pencil and pen drawing, the Minimalism Art book is a great fit. Hobby Lobby and Staples are also great options for in person retailers that are community based.

Our Yearly Art Fee may be paid in person or online through the button to the right. It has a drop down menu if you are interested in including an optional donation to our Art Boosters.
I choose not to hold traditional fund raisers.
Many of our students are involved in other activities as well as being members of the WMSE Art Program. Parents can sometimes feel overwhelmed with fund raisers. As an alternative, I offer the option of a yearly art fee. I will use these funds to purchase our art materials for the year. We also sponsor the Halloween Bash and the 8th Grade Formal each year. Boosters donate drinks/snacks for these events and all proceeds go to the Art Program Boosters in order to buy supplies for our art room.
