Our seventh graders have been doing wonderful work on the lathe! Our most recent finished piece is this ballpoint pen. M.Miller turned a marbled deep violet acrylic blank and experimented with organic shapes. Isn't it gorgeous?
Students have had a wonderful time learning how to use our lathe, purchased with a generous grant from the Bartow Educational Foundation. Check out two finished pieces below! Pen turned by Faith Owens. Zebra wood. Acrylic pen, turned by Olivia Berry.
